Overview of TASA Disclosure

Key Requirements for BAS Agents

The TASA Disclosure Statement outlines the legal obligations and standards that registered BAS Agents must adhere to under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. This includes providing BAS services, such as advice and form lodgement, while maintaining compliance with the ATO and the Tax Practitioners Board regulations.

To ensure compliance, BAS Agents must be registered and adhere to the Code of Conduct, which includes maintaining professional integrity and competence in their services. The Tax Practitioners Board oversees these standards to protect clients and uphold the integrity of the tax profession.

This statement is provided in accordance with Section 45‑2 of the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA 2009). It helps clients make an informed decision when engaging or continuing to engage BAS to Basics Bookkeeping for BAS Services.
